Some updates on the pickup

Three in a row! After the "Samurai Chopper" and a 1/12 312T Ferrari, this model gave me the third best of class prize .. what a satisfaction! 

Last details for the Barn.. it's almost done !

Workin' on!!

The work started with a mock up, like always.
I saw a lot of imperfections that not allows to fit doors and hood in place, remains something like 1mm in every direction, yep.. it's a Revell ..

So I started on the roof, chopping it for 4mm, not it looks much more aggressive !

Chopping the roof means also cutting it in longitudinal way to enlarge it, or it will not fit with the original windshield and mounts.

Than I worked on the firewall, cutting the original one and replacing it with some plasticard, shaped and glued in place.

And than the fitting problem with doors and hood, I solved it adding some strips of plasticard and recreating the support all around the hood avoiding any free space between hood and fenders.

The inspiration this time bring me to start this different project..
After some years I'm going to return on 4-wheels building, in Custom point of view, obviously!

that's the period I took to build this bike,
with a lot of scratchbuilding using brass, plasticard and poor materials I found at home.

I'm proud of my new creature, let's hope it's the same for you watching this pictures!
